Elephant and Egrets

I took this from a small boat in the Zambezi River. The elephant was on a small island mid river. As we floated by, it made a false charge which caused the egrets to fly. Cropped to about 75% of original. Nikon D 750, 24-120 lens at 1/640, f/8 and ISO 220. Richard

Neat capture Richard, if the image holds up I would crop some from the bottom and right to focus attention on the elephant and the one egret just over it's shoulder. devil

The egret flying over the elephant makes this shot for me and I agree with cropping to emphasize this.  The clouds and overall colors are very nice.  Great shot.

I think the wider view here in great.  My cropping suggestion is different... I agree with cropping from the bottom, but I'd consider cropping from the left.  I suppose if you had enough pixels you could crop down to just the egret and elephant, but if not, I'd prefer to see the blank patch of sky go.  The clouds make a nice background pattern, and there is a hint of right-facing directionality, with the egret's flight path and the elephant's head turn and trunk swinging that direction.
