Eastern Sierra Range

This was early last Sunday between Big Pine and Independence along the East Side of the Sierra Nevada Range.  There were a couple of steers outside the fence (I tried to clone most of it out).  I thought the overall balance of steers, sagebrush rangeland, and rugged sierras were set off nicely against the nice blue sky with wispy clouds. Canon 60D, f20, 1/125 sec, iso 400, 24-105 ISL at 40 mm, Handheld from car window, with Circular Polarizer. 100% of original frame. Thank you for your comments and suggestions for improvements. I had an interesting development with this camera after I dropped my camera bag from about 3 feet off the ground on a concrete floor.  The battery case had popped open, the lens cap came off and the diopter now does not work for me to see what is and what isn't in focus. Amazingly, the camera still seems to work well without the diopter and everything closed up alright. Needless to say it is now at the Canon factory repair shop here in Southern California for fixin'. Hope I get it back in time for our trip to Zion, Yellowstone and Glacier in mid August.

Ed: I like the layers of the cattle, the mountain and the sky. Did you try a landscape orientation  as I think that would work equally well? Richard

Thank you Richard. I haven't processed all of them yet, and unfortunately I didn't take any with the cattle in a landscape orientation. I will work on them and see if I get one that I like for posting.
