Forgive yet another, but August 2013 was my most productive time in Bayou Sauvage, over 500 images saved in that month alone.  This juvenile was in good light with a duck weed backdrop, which worked well for a studio setup, except completely natural.

500 keepers in a month is great, Bill.  I can see why you liked this one.  A very nice pose and bg and the detail in the Tricolor is wonderful.  Well done.

This is a really good headshot.  Really good detail and color.  I really like the way the heron pops against the blue and gold out of focus background.

What an intense stare Bill. That eye is great and I do like the nice BG of duck weed.
