I have only seen this bird (Silverbird) on 5 previous occasions all being found in Kidepo Valley National Park in Uganda, but the perches were very poor or they were too far away.
This time I found one both nearer and on a decent perch.

Excellent detail and exposure in the bird, Ken.  If you don't mind indulging in a little image manipulation, I think the image would be even better without the second oof branch and with a bit more light in the bird's eye.

Very nice singing pose and soft light here Ken, I see enough light in the eye in the larger version. I am not much of a cloner but might be tempted to try and remove the one branch, congrats on getting a nice image of this one. devil

Terrific colors; nice soft light. Is that some kind of agave?I don't mind the second stem.

Looks like everything worked out right with this one, Ken!  I love the cactus perches with the nice arches and complimentary colors plus the bird is sharp and perfectly exposed with very natural colors.  Excellent photo!

Hi Ken
You did a nice job with this Silverbird.  The perch, lighting and detail make for a very nice photograph.
