These are the falls you see as you enter Yosemite National Park from the Northwest side coming down into the valley when there has been a good rain year. Taken with Canon 40D, f16, 1/4 sec, iso 200, -1 EV, 17-85 IS at 47 mm, with Circular Polarizer, bean bag on bridge, with 2 sec timer. I appreciate your thoughts and welcome suggestions for improvements.

I like the image, Ed, the rocks framing the falls in the upper half is a strong focal point and rivets one's attention. The bottom half seems a bit cluttered and I think it bleeds some of the initial impact away. You could consider a crop just above the tree  trunk though. There is some nice depth in the photo. An interesting rock formation along the right side. Just amazing how those trees get a foothold in the crevices and flourish. I like the idea of the bean bag on the bridge.

The large version is a real treat as the overcast lighting is perfect for showing off the wonderful details in this image, Ed. I also like your SS choice along with your POV for the falls. My only suggestion would be a slight crop from the top to get rid of those couple of areas of sky along with a crop from the bottom up to the top of that bright boulder just left of the falls. I think that tightens up the image and places more emphasis on falls and surrounding rocks and trees. Nicely done.

This is a beautiful waterfall, Ed.  I like how you have framed the falls with the surrounding trees.  The repost is a nice improvement as it helps to direct more attention to the waterfall.  Nicely done!  devil

The repost is how I envisioned the shot when first looking at it. Really nice work.

Nicely composed and I like the long exposure, Ed. My initial reaction was that the area below the water was a bit jumbled and busy. The repost helped that quite a bit. I like the framing tree in the LLC. In the repost, the small bush at the bottom center may now be a bit too bright and saturated.

The cropped version especially is beautiful. These kinds of scenes are pretty hard to photograph and I really like how you have composed this.

Recrop - Stephen and Ed, thank you for your suggestions. I really wanted to keep the trees in the lower part of the photo because I believe they add some character and continuity to this shot. I selectively lightened them and cropped this to a 3X4 to eliminate the spots of sky and a small part of the bottom rocks. Please let me know what you think.

Scott, thanks for spotting that bright bush. I have now adjusted that little bush on the bottom as well. Thanks everyone for your very constructive suggestions.
