Far And Away

This is a shot from my last vacation far and away from urban life. I like to be in the wilderness as there is always peaceful scenic images waiting for me to see, with my heart.

Do you like the composition, the landscape and the feel? Any idea or suggestions?

Thanks

This is a fine image IMO, particularly the lower half. I would try to tame the highlights in the sky just a tad if possible, without losing the airiness of it. I can see a lot of fine compositions in here but they would require some aggressive cropping, so I would leave this as is. So if anything, I would experiment with the sky a bit and midtone contrast (clarity) in those distant hills. But that's really being picky. Again, this is a really fine image. Good job.

This is a good looking and as you say, very peaceful scene, Bo.  The winding waterway leads very nicely towards the ridge in the distance.  To tame the highlights, you would probably need to combine two exposures or catch the scene closer to sunrise or sunset.  There is a nice airy feeling to this as presented.

I like this image very much and just wish I could see it a little larger. Looks like some wonderful details and I'm enjoying the beautiful natural look and feel it has. I do agree that the highlghts in the sky could be tamed down but otherwise just a really nice image.

There are a lot of interesting layers in the composition.  This looks like a nice place to enjoy for your vacation.  The light is a bit harsh - especially in the highlights in the sky.

I love the color palette here ... definitely adds that extra big of interest to an already attractive scene. A little taming of the very high values in the sky and water will be useful, especially if you plan to make prints.

Lovely, peaceful scene. There is a lot to see in foreground, midground and background. Love the patterns in the sky and pond. I agree with bringing the white down a little.
