Nikon D 800
Nikon 17-35 @ 22 mm
f 18 @ 0.6 sec.
ISO 800
tripod & cable release
White Mountains, NH

I promise this is the last of the series as I do not want to bore everyone to much. This is a vertical version of my first in the series. I had switched to a vertical to capture more of the trees in the frame along with the wonderful glow in the URC.

As always thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment or suggestion.

I really like the light in the background trees in this image.  That is what I was hoping for in my comment on your original image.  The composition overall is very nice, but it feels a bit tight on the left hand side.  Based on your original post it seems like a wider view would have worked well here and would have been just right.  But, I'm being super picky.  crying

You can keep them coming. They're all great images.I've been "seeing" much more in a landscape mode lately, so probably prefer the more "open" look of the horizontal crop.

Ed, You really made some wonderful images along this river and I certainly wouldn't get bored with seeing them. cool Great looking light and i just love the misty look / feel this has. The left side looks fine to me and if anything I could see just a little more room on the right side, but then you do have that covered in other shoots. Been a pleasure seeing these!

Ed, I'm definitely not getting bored with these. The series has been very nice, and this is no exception. I love the light in the background trees, and as in the others, the shutter speed is good and the mist adds a lot.

The smoothed water fits very well with the foggy distance, Ed.  There's a nice sense of mystery here.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone, always appreciated. Here is a repost with a little more room on both the right and left sides. I had cropped some off as the image looked a little crooked and I did a 2 degree CW rotation.

Ed, your second version - allowing a bit more space on both sides - is indeed an improvement to my eye. Your exposure and processing is spot on in my opinion, and as in the pervious posts I enjoy the foreground details a lot.

Lovely in every sense, especially the revised version. There is such a strong sense of truth to this image; a rarity of sorts these days. Your composition also demonstrates a sensitive eye for structure and detail.

That background is wonderful in the mist there Ed; this is lovely. I prefer the second version because the background is more prominent.
