While looking at past files, this one struck me as being at the beach, but only the curling waves were made of sandstone.  From North Coyote Buttes, AZ.

Fascinating abstract. Looks almost like cedar wood grain.

This is very cool, Doug.  I can envision a surfer riding the wave at the top of the frame!  I like the layers of alternating color and the sweeping lines convey a sense of motion and energy in the composition.

Wow, Doug, what a beautiful study of sandstone in panorama!  I love the dynamics of the two patterns divided by the layer of sand.  I agree with Phil, can almost smell the wonderful aroma of cedar.  If mine I'd print it BIG and display it proudly enlightened

Really nice Doug.  Love the tidal wave vibe.  I think the sand is critical in the mid ground in pulling this off.  Very cool abstract.

Very cool abstract, Doug. I like the layers here and this does cedar wood grain as Phil mentioned. For me, the sand in the MG ties everything together.

Very interesting abstract.  It does have a bit of beach-like appearance.

I really like the contrasting direction of the two areas of the sandstone Doug. The color and clarity are outstanding.
