Another of the images I was able to capture while with the loon family recently. As I followed them around the pond both parents brought the chicks to a small cove to dive for food and feed the chicks. Here is one of my favorites from the encounter, with both chicks riveted to Mom's treat.

Thanks to all who have taken time to view these images. I'll refrain from posting any more of the loons for fear of testing your patience.

I think I prefer this one to the last post, though both are very good, Chuck. The compositoin with the chicks facing the mother just works really well for me.

Yes, this has superb interaction between the parent and the kids. Terrific point of view. I really like this image as much as any of them. This is a really good series with the loons.

Nice low angle and you can never go wrong photographing a parent with chicks.
