A juvenile Dark-eyed Junco in the ferns behind my little pond.  I really liked the way it posed among the greenery.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 546 mm, tripod with ball head and Wimberley sidekick, f/8, 1/200, iso 640, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 12 MP before resizing.  I removed the tip of one fern frond entering the middle of the left hand side.  Taken June 28th at 2:35 pm under cloudy skies.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Excellent capture, Dennis, with such nice detail and color.  He did pose nicely for you.  That pond is really working nicely for you!

Nicely placed amongst the ferns.  The detail is superb.  I like the pose.  I have a lot of juvenile birds but have yet to see a juvenile Junco visit my yard.
