Leaf Pattern

I'm afraid I can't remember what this plant was.  It was growing quite a way up the valley in a wetter area on Kauai and had utterly enormous leaves, so I got underneath to get a backlit shot of the vein pattern.

5Diii, EF 28-70 f2.8L @ 55 mm, hand held, f/10, 1/800, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Taken at 2:01 pm on January 28th.

Your comments and criticisms are really appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis the intricate designs of these leaves are amazing. Lines within lines within lines. Great lighting and detail.

A neat view of this plant, Dennis.  It's very reminiscent of an aerial view of a landscape and waterways.  The repeated pattern looks great.

Good WC post of this, Dennis.  Green is my favorite color.  I think vertical framing would make for a stronger comp.
