R Egret W Morph
by Kathy Snead
This one was a surprise - the first time I had ever seen one of these. It was at the end of a very slow bird searching late afternoon. I was walking back and in the distance saw this bird which I immediately thought was a Great White Egret, that is, until it started dancing around! I had heard of White Morphs but had never found one myself. I did the slow, careful walk over to where the bird was and got about 10 minutes or so with it until it took flight, thoughtfully in a direction that I could get a good pan. It was only after I reviewed the captures that I realized this bird was also in breeding plumage. A real high for my day!
Nikon D 800, 300 mm f4, at 5.6, ISO 400, 1/3200 sec. Handheld.
Comments and suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Well done . . .
Richard Ditch;
I found this bird on south fort Myers beach. Only saw it the one time. Went back a few times since.
