Cinnamon Sow

A beautiful Sow Cinnamon Black Bear, munching on ferns and grasses.  She has two cubs.  One is cinnamon and the other is black.  The black one was pretty shy and stayed back in the brush most of the time I was watching them.  It had been raining all day and the light was poor but the wet vegetation always looks much richer.

Sony a6500, FE 70-200 f2.8 GM @ 198 mm, ISO-100, f/4.0, 1/250. hand held.

Gary,
You certainly got some "rich" colour here. Love the grass in the mouth.

Gary: the sow really pops against the vibrancy of the greenery. She looks calm and well fed as can be seen by the grass in her mouth in the large version. Richard

Hi Gary,

Nice colour contrast here - love the cinnamon colour of the bear and those greens are pretty amazing. The Detail View version is definitely a must on this one. I really like the small accents of colour added by the pink flowers. I think the image would be a little more appealing if the OOF foreground vegetation wasn't there, but that's definitely a "in a perfect world" wish (and nothing you could do about them).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...
