Great capture of the luminescent colors on this little Rufus, David! Nice detail also.

Wow, that IS a lot of color! Great detail! It may just be me, but with all that color in the Rufous, I wonder about maybe making the background a little less green. Really nice.

I noticed some digital banding noise so I tried to remove it with Topaz DeNoise 6. With respect to the green BG, I already decreased green sat by 40% and green luminosity by 20%. Yes, we had a very wet winter here in the Pacific Northwest and if today's rain is any indication, it is not over yet...

The colors in the gorget are awesome, David. Great feather detail, a nice perch and a very pleasing background. A beautiful image!!!

Excellent detail and colors against a clean, contrasting background. Nice perch as well.

Sweet, David. I haven't had any time with a male yet this year. Excellent pose and perch with just the right light angle to show off the gorget to best advantage. Your repost took care of the banding quite nicely.

Hi David
Nice color, and great detail. I think the background works, because it is really clean.
