Life at the river bank

After shooting elephants for more than 27 years, it is quite challenging to get new pix. I was recently rewarded by this frame.
Thank you so much for your kind comments and views!

Jagdeep: your patience was definitely rewarded with this photo. The elephants lined up in the river with the group behind coming to drink make a very compelling photo. A minor suggestion would be to tone done the rocks in the foreground and the light colored grasses in the background. Fine otherwise. Richard

Beautiful line up and lovely layering. Rocks, water, elephants then two colors of grass.

When I clicked on the photo without reading your name, I thought someone was confessing to hunting elephants for 27 years!

Hisham.

Jagdeep, this is truly wonderful, and I'm really happy for you.  You do so much beautiful work, and to get a frame that is so unique must be so rewarding.

It is special to have the entire herd coming INTO the frame and then offering up such a wonderful spacing for natural composition.  I think it is just fine as posted, but did wonder how it would look with just a bit less exposure, to dramatize and emphasize the warm lighting.
