Taken during a recent trip to Utah. Got some nice light and clouds while camped in a beautiful area of Capitol Reef NP. My first visit ever to Capitol Reef. Single image, D600, nikon 24-70 f2.8 @ 45 and f16, .3 sec., iso 200, cpl, gnds (hh), tripod. Suggestions and other comments welcome.

Wonderful light and I love the subtle warmth you captured in this grand landscape, Scott. The clouds are the icing on the cake for me. My only suggestion; and this is really minor; would be to clone out those couple of bright spots just a little below the center of the image. Great work here.

Scott, This is an absolutely beautiful image. Great comp and the light is just fantastic. Those clouds are awesome and gave this the perfect finishing touch. Excellent work capturing the conditions when they were there.

Beautiful image, Scott.  Such a dynamic location and it treated you very well.  As they say "gettin there is half the battle".  Excellent conditions handled perfectly.

"As they say 'gettin there is half the battle'."

Yes, Gary, especially in a small 2 wheel drive rented SUV. enlightened

Very nice Scott. That's the only place I ever got a flat tire in my 4 runner...  Fabulous light!

Scott, this is a marvelous capture and a fine example of landscape imagery with loads of interest throughout the frame all working together.  The sweet light makes it even more compelling.  I've been to Cap Reef several times but Cathedral Valley is still on my bucket list.  Definitely deserves a WP.  Good stuff devil

Superb, Scott.  Love your composition, how the clouds on the left balance the weight of the bluffs on the right hand side and the drainage in the lower left hand corner helping to guide the eye back.  Incredible light.  Fantastic image.

One of my all-time favorite spots, and you got some great light. To me it looks just a bit too crispy, but no other nits.

Sweet light and clouds. Lovely overview. Gorgeous image. I don't think of Capitol Reef in pastels like this, but it's all about the light and you caught it.

Super sky and expansive view.  Suggestion may be to add a tiny amount of midtone contrast to the land.

Gorgeous, Scott.  Love this country, haven't been there in a while and miss it.  Father in law lived in Richfield, Utah and we visited the numerous parks in the area often, unfortunately we haven't returned since his passing many years ago; I need to return.

There is a softness to the lighting that perfectly transmits me to this time of the day. Gorgeous conditions and you made the most of it with the comp.  The texture of the canyons /river lower left and the trees are a great accent to the buttes.  Not much to improve upon this, really fine image.

A beautiful view, Scott.  The larger version shows much better contrast.  Definitely a wall hanger.
