Original Photo taken with D 800 and 60 mm macro at 1/125 sec at f5.6, ISO 1250.. Combined with a shot of gold lame' fabric.

comments and suggestions welcome. I have altered this from a former version and will post that version in a bit. Will be interested to hear what the opinion of the group is as to what.version to use. Right now I am leaning to this one.

please note .....look at the larger version. The thumbnail did not turn out well. I would tinker with it and repost but don't know how to take this one down

Lovely composition and colors. I like the posted version (and the "larger" presentation) because I think the softness of the subject in that version seems to me to work better with the background than original version, which retains more photographic realism.

Kathy, I like the first version. I like the bloom and bud showing future beauty. However for me, the background competes with the subject. For me, less detail in the BG would not be a distraction. Regardless, a very nice image.
