Aerial Curiosity

I was down on the dock, waiting for my wife to send me a shopping list so I decided to make use of all the gulls and terns flying around.  I can always use more practice with my high speed, hand held bird tracking so I got out the camera and started chasing the kittiwakes.  I think this one was a little curious about my strange antics enlightened

Sony a6500, FE 70-200 f2.8 GM @ 198 mm, ISO-100, f/4.0, 1/4000, hand held.  A small crop for composition.  It's clean enough that I could have cropped it quite a bit more but I really liked the mountain background.

The cocked head looking at you really makes this shot.  Nice aerial. I would be tempted to crop some of the right side.

Gary,
Wonderful shot,
how did you get such a shutter speed with such a low ISO?

Ken;  It was a very bright day and I was shooting white gulls against a snowy mountain.  I would have been shooting at f2.8 except that 1/4000 is max for my camera.  I had to go to f4.0 to keep the ultra bright highlights under control!

Excellent detail in the gull, Gary.  I like the mountain, but the brighter parts keep pulling my eye from the gull, so I'd be tempted to tone them down a bit.
