3 Bald Eagles

Here's a shot from one of our previous eagle trips at Hood Canal, WA. I was happy to get 3 all large in the frame and relatively sharp. These birds were battling over a fish that one of them caught, it may have been dropped at this point.

Impressive to get three birds in focus at one time especially with a large lens handheld. What percentage of the frame? Looks like the one at the right is a yearling. I really like the dappled cloud sky rather than a solid blue sky.

Very cool to get three, Nate, and the positions are really great. I also like the distant hillside bg which always seems more interesting than plain blue sky.

I may run across you there this year as I'm planning on being there the 18th-22nd.

Nice job capturing multiple eagles in one shot, Nate! I can see that it's a mountain background rather than sky. It's very similar to some photos we've been getting here at Valdez, Alaska.

Nice to get three in the shot Nate and sharp. As others have said the mottled sky is nice. Really cool action, it's fun watch this activity when it happens.
