Same Egret that I posted in the Nature and Fauna Gallery, except that his tracking antenna barely was showing in this picture.  I did  "fix" a stray feather that was out of place due to the antenna.  D 800, 300 mm w/ TC (effective 420), f8, 1/1600 sec., manual, ISO 640.  I may have had the ISO on auto adjust as I was toying with it at that time.

Comments and suggestions always appreciated.  Spent a bit more time on this pic of this bird as the other one was just too painful to work with.

Have a great weekend!  I am trying out still lifes this weekend.

A wonderful pose, Kathy, with excellent detail and exposure.  That extended wing makes for a great composition.  Well done.

Wish we had these in S. Georgia. The Snowy's are fun, but these guys look like real entertainers! Nice preening pose! I checked over at the similar posting in Man and Fauna. interesting tidbit about the radio transmitter.

Fine preening action and composition, Sandy.  I like that you not only got the wingspread and head plumage but the eye to boot!  Good stuff devil

Beautiful shot, Kathy!  You captured a very unique and artistic pose and framed it just right.  The complimentary colors and the wavy reflection are icing on the cake.  The large version is especially nice.  Well done! devil
