Hortensias

This is an image from a private garden near Cherbourg, Normandy. Two years ago we had the chance to stay there for some days in September, enjoying the incredible richness of a great diversity of hortensias. Just after a few hours of light rain the plants showed themselves at their best in my opinion.

Comments and critique are welcome.

Very nice light for this little gardenscape, Peter. Lots of details throughout the image, including the white flowers in the foreground. Not easy to have detail in white flowers in the open and detail in dark flowers in shade, as done here.

Love the composition filling the frame, Peter, and the movement from light to dark into the distance.  The tree trunk is very nicely placed - an image to savour !

Excellent comp, light to dark and the layers broken by the islands of ferns and the tree. Well done.
