Blossom Time PA

Crab tree blossoms. Mill Creek Metroparks. Nikon D600, 80-400 @400. Used several PS filters trying for a painterly, tradtional look. The "straight" version of this image was posted in the flora gallery. Suggestions and other comments welcome.

In comparing the flora and photo art versions I prefer the one posted in Photo Art. The watercolor paper texture and vibrant color give more impact to an already very pleasing image. Of course, I lean toward putting a personal touch on images so they include a surprise effect but maintain the integrity of reality (or not enlightened

This is gorgeous! The added texture is very pleasing, and the colours and original image were already exceptional.
Great work!

Lovely, painterly rendition of an already painterly shot. I think this treatment works well for a traditional look. I might de-saturate the pinks a little, but that is just a personal preference and I could easily live with what you present here.

Scott I love how these pop right out of the frame in this rendition. Wonderful colors and textures. Very clean subject, yet very complex colors and composition.
