Anza Borrego

I enjoyed a trip into Anza Borrego Desert State Park in late March.  A lot of the desert floor bloom in Borrego Valley was in its very late stages or being devoured by caterpillars; but the hillsides around Yaqui Flats and side canyons in this area were full of color. I had this quiet road to myself for a few hours in the morning and early afternoon.  I usually don't like such a full blue sky but this seems to work for me and adds to the hillside drama and solitude of the road.

Conveys the ruggedness of the desert. I do find the branches poking up beyond the mountains on the right a bit distracting and wonder about the viewpoint stepping a few paces to the left.
