Spring Pheasant

I visited a local prairie grass nature preserve Friday evening about a half hour before sunset and spotted this male pheasant showing off and calling for girl friends. I can honestly say that I have not seen a pheasant this vibrant before. I like this because of all the color and detail in the bird. As always comments are welcome. I have a lot to learn.

Good look at this Pheasant blending in with its environment; at least the tail feathers.  Good point of view.  A little too centered for my tastes.

Absolutely beautiful colors.  You might crop a little off the right to de-center the pheasant a bit more.  Sharpness/focus is really nice.

Hi Brian
Nice low angle and detail.  I would love to see a 1500 by 1000,  with a little cropping on the right side of the frame.
