Riding the blur

Summer has arrived early, with damselflies mating, several dragonfly species roaming, and the water striders doing their thing on my pond.  Here's a look at one as it paused in it's skating.  (7D2, 180mm macro L, 1/80s, f/10, iso 400, resting on pond edge)

Mark ..thats the kind of image I was wanting to do for a long time and never got it right. With detail and the reflections. May be if you had the space you could reduce the space on top. A personal choice though. Like this as is.

Mark, Great sharpness and beautiful metallic shine, both in the water strider and the reflection. The title works very well. Nice work on a tough subject!

I've never had any luck with these.  No sooner do I get them focused, they take off across the water.  This is a really fine capture.  I wish it were mine.

Wonderful capture with great detail.  I am not familiar with this little guy, but know that some of these little creatures can move fast and just be hard to get.  Nicely done.

This is a very fine image.  I am sure it is not as easy as it may look.  I've never had any success with these.  I like the contrast between the sharp details in the critter and the blur at the contact points with the water.
