Limb Reflection

PLEASE VIEW LARGE

Just a simple autumn scene in the Talladega National Forest in north Alabama.  I like the contrast between the golden water and the green leaves.  Also liked the slight diagonal limb.

Comments and critiques always welcomed and appreciated.  Thanks for looking and commenting.

Simple but with beautiful colors and composition, Bill. The reflection is great.

Bill, when I first looked at the thumbnail I was not drawn to the image, but once I opened it I really like it. The composition, light and color all work really well together. Fine image.

Just what Richard said: the thumbnail does do this justice, and the larger version is really excellent, Bill.  I love the processing.

Great comp. and beautiful mix of colors. Well seen - I doubt I would ever have seen this image in the field. Hard to come up with any suggestions. Maybe burn down the highlights a bit in the lower right.

Just a simple autumn scene, eh? One that hardly anyone else would see, let alone pull off with such sensitivity.  Lovely image, Bill.

Killer reflected light, and the gentle softness seen in the larger version is particularly nice. Beautiful intimate shot.  I find it fine as is.

Bill,

This is so dreamy!  You didn't mention any processing techniques, but this does have a lovely glow to it.  The contrast in colors and light is beautiful as you of course recognized.  There is also a slight tension within this as that main downward branch nearly touches the water... or does it?  This holds together beautifully and I really like how the fallen tree separates the green leaves from the warmth of the water and reflection.

Excellent, love this.

I really like the simplicity of this one Bill. The color is amazing the branch is nice and sharp and the overall composition is peaceful and relaxed.

Great job capturing the light reflected here; it really adds to the tree and its reflection.
