The Wait

This is the same pond I posted a while back from Umbagog Wildlife Refuge in the ME/NH boarder. I spent several sunsets and sunrises waiting for moose, but none were on my schedule. This was a sunrise view, the last post was a sunset. The pond's orientation and wonderful arrangement of rocks and pickerel weed made for a nice comp - still waiting for a moose. Maybe this year. Single exposure.

7 commentsTo my eye, the most interesting part of the image is the right half with the beautiful gentle glow especially in the reflection. So maybe a vertical crop of this part would make for another interesting composition.

This is so quiet, peaceful and of course beautiful. Definitely my favorite from this location. Always subjective and personal choice, but I suppose there's room to draw out the pinks more. Then again, I appreciate the natural and more subdued rendering of this.
This capture brings me right there and that alone makes this one work for me. Beautiful.
