Royal Crown Crocus
by scott lanz
We have had strange spring weather. February was actually, on average, warmer then March, which is bizarre. The crocuses in my yard started to bloom in February, a full month ahead of normal, and then got zapped by temps in the low teens. What was left resumed blooming last week, but they are sparse. So, I had to focus, figuatively and literally, on individuals, like this backlit one. Shot handheld, laying on the ground. Given the "royal" treatment (darkened background, purple border) in pp. D600, 150 sigma f2.8 macro, 1/800, f5.6, iso 400. Suggestions and other comments welcome.
