The details in these larvae and their pebble cases look great, John.  I've often enjoyed watching/finding them in small streams.  The gentle green of the plant and the soft but not white background show them off well.

John,

I do not understand why this image has been ignored.  From a natural history standpoint, the image reveals some traits that link caddisflies to Lepidoptera (silk).  The cases made of sand grains can be used to identify genera and species groups.  Comp is nice and the aquarium lighting is soft.  You can brighten this one up a touch and  remove some of the artifacts produced by moving air bubbles.  Very nice and a unique portrayal of these caddisfly larvae.........................Jim

Thanks both.
Yes Jim -I take your points. I,ve also noticed(bit late!) that the bottoms of the cases are soft. I,ll do them again !
Cheers
