Moraine Lake, Banff NP
Going through our Canada images from late last summer. An icon for sure but I enjoyed the experience and even the cold on this crisp morning. Early snows had dusted the peaks and I liked that there was some rippling of the lake. Shot this in 16:9 ratio to avoid some FG trees that intruded into the sides of a normal ratio. HDR in Lightroom CC. All comments welcome.

Gorgeous, Bill. I like the curves in the comp and the beautiful reflection. Processing looks very good.

Now that's a comp! I love the overall blue here, with just enough warmer light on the peaks to keep it grounded.

Spectacular, Bill.  I have not tried the HDR in Lightroom.  Looks really nice.

Classically beautiful Bill!  The vertical comp is very strong and I think you've chose wisely in that regard.  HDR processing looks pretty darn good.

If anything, I do like the color balance of the larger areas of snow in the peaks, but would agree there is a bit of blue/cyan in some of the more detailed areas; it's not out of the ordinary though consider the peaks are mostly in shade, which goes blue anyway.

Well done, the symmetry works really well with this one too.

Bill, This is beautiful! I really like this composition and the cool blue tone sure looks nice to me. The light, blue tones and green pines all come together making a wonderful image. The reflection with the lightly rippled water looks really nice as well. Nice job processing this too!

Pretty scene. The colors are looking a bit intense to my eye, but it that is a personal preference. Nice take on Moraine.

Lovely scene.  Would say your wb is a bit on the cool side.  Unless that was to taste.  Could also see putting a bit more contrast back in that seems to be lost with the hdr.  Way to get out there...looks great.

Beautifully captured, Bill.  I'm not often a fan of vertical panoramas, but I think it works well here to emphasize the vertical nature of the peaks.  It also gives this image a unique feel.

I like your cropping selection here.  Framing seems hard from this location with the trees and rocks, so I think this zeros in on the best features of the view.  Maybe a touch too cyan in the shadows, but I might be influenced by the glacial till in the water.  I do like the ripples - makes it a little more dynamic.

Gorgeous Bill. One of my favorite places in the world. Also, very difficult to get both the amazing glacial blue water with the bright snow covered peaks exposed well together. Nice work.

The blues are simply gorgeous in this scene, Bill. The vertical format does a wonderful job of emphasizing the key elements in the image. I also like the S curve of the shoreline; I think that holds everything together. Beautifully done!
