Very nice composition. Muted FG and mid-ground color, but the beautiful sky makes up for that. Very enjoyable.

An amazing place to visit for sure. I like the leading lines of the eroded sandstone. Looks a bit mid- dayish. Hope the new camera works well for you.

You've got a depth of field issue here. F/11 doesn't give you a very great focal range. A smaller aperture would probably have been a better choice >= f/16. I have that camera and have gotten pretty handy with it. The best way to focus accurately is to do it manually by using the preview button, magnify the image to the highest value, and adjust the focus ring. Do this twice, for the closest object and the farthest object. Then set the focus ring halfway between the two.

Gerald, Nice job setting up this comp which does a great job of leading one back through the scene. It does have a mid-day feel but still quite nice. The sky and clouds adds much to this and really helps set off the colors. I like that you kept the colors quite natural too. I like to use manual focus with live view to fine tune focusing. Hope you enjoy the new camera and it looks like you will.
