Ice climbing at Valdez, Alaska.  I,m told that the real name of this waterfall is "Hung Jury" but I call it Hoodie Falls because it makes these ice hoodies every winter enlightened

That's quite the ice falls, Gary.  I wasn't sure about the size until I noticed the climbers waiting at the bottom and the I spotted the one up close to the top.  Those are some great looking structures (hoodies).  I'm hoping that you've got some closer looks as some of the structures...

What a cool falls to climb and photograph, Gary.  I'm with Mark about shooting some of the interesting structures contained within the falls.

Great looking formations Gary, and "hoodies" is a great name for them.  When I see similar formation, it seems that there is usually a spray of bouncing water under them.  I can't see any water flowing here, so I am guessing that the flow has been reduced, and can just be heard gurgling deep under the ice?  Excellent wide shot of the action here. (Every time I see ice climbers I think "There has to be a better way to get to the top of that place.)

Wow, this is amazing, and more so because of the tiny figures giving it a great sense of scale. Love the name you have given it!
Quite a spectacular scene, captured well.

Although I dabbled in rockclimbing when I was younger, ice climbing has always fascinated me.  This is a superb climb at least from an aesthetic standpoint.  Beautiful image with turquoise colored ice and rusty rock surrounding it.  Nice action and scale here.  I prefer this image to the other one because of this size but the other image does show more detail.
