Preston,

From your deck? Sheesh, I'd think we would have seen more over the years... angel enlightened

This is very cool and I get a distinct Yin - Yang impression.  Two halves, yet combined forces for a whole and single image.  Processing looks good to me.  Even with the intensity of the color in the clouds, I think we've all seen the sky catch on fire and this is quite realistic to me.  I also notice and like the yellow/green along the horizon behind the oak, also realistic for this time of day and conditions.

Excellent! Either half wouldn't be nearly as strong as they are combined.

Preston, You have a camera and a deck! This is a very cool shot! Just the kind of glowing light and color one gets sometimes after storms roll through. This sure does have that look and feel. I like the tree branches too.

What a great tree.  It has super interesting branches.  I agree with Lon that there's a Yin and Yang feel to this.  Almost a Chinese painting feel?  It's neat. I also think you could consider cropping a tiny bit off the top.

Hard to argue with a view like this from your deck...  The colors are outstanding and the tree silhouettes make a fine foreground.  Simple but very effective, that a hard combo to beat.

A well conceived and beautifully presented idea. Well done, Preston. A fine image. The spacing above the clouds is important. The 1/2 to 1/2 composition doesn't bother me; it makes the point effectively.

I like the contrast between the dark branches and the beautiful colored cloud. Well seen, Preston.

This is excellent, Preston. I love the simplified composition. I haven't been able to get out to shoot in months. I wish I had photo opp's like this off my deck!

Gorgeous color that is nicely complemented with the tree forms, Preston. The image is simple and artisitic.

Beautiful, Preston.  I don't do alot of sunsets, cause they don't make very convincing B/W's sad.  I love the silhouetted tracery of the tree against the crazy good sky.  Excellent.

Quite nice, Mr. Birdwell. Life is good when you can make images from your deck. Looks great, no suggestions here.

Agreed, it's the two parts that make it a whole!
