Sony A77II
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/40 @ f16
A bit of a double entendre here as these are new leaves on our Rising Sun redbud tree taken this morning at sunrise for the backlight. Had to burn down some of the highlights in post processing. I would have preferred to use a polarizer with the capture but it was windy and I needed all the SS I could get, my filter threads on my old faithful 200mm are bent just enough that I can't use a regular filter on it and I was too lazy to break out the 70-400 and the extension tubes. Ah the wonders of Photoshop! All comments welcome.>=))>

A very pleasing air of stillness surrounds the leaves,Bill. The shadows have come out beautifully with the backlighting, and I like the overall tonality very much.

Fine image, Bill. Well seen and taken. I love the backlighting and the way the emerging leaves stand out from the nice bg. Shows you that even leaves can be attractive with nice form and color. I am not a racing fan, but I know that today in the Daytona 500, and this image reminds me of a racing flag, maybe to officially start the spring flora photography season. Gentlemen and Ladies, start your cameras! Of course, it's 22 degrees and snowing here.
