Taken April 29, 2016 at the local public gardens during a gentle rain. I did not post this last year because it did not excite me that much, but my wife likes it a lot, so I figured I post it and see what people here think. D600, 150 sigma 2.8 macro @ f4, iso 200, 1/500, HH. Suggestions and other comments welcome.

Scott: Your wife is right! I like the plane of focus and your DOF choice. The drops are icing on a very nice cake. 2 thumbs up. >=))>

I love this one, Scott, and have posted one like it in the past. It's soft and evocative of spring, so refreshing and joyful. Just the right amount of focus. No suggestions!

Beautiful, Scott!  I love the light, the softness of the petals, and the water drops.

Gentle light and soft colors. It definitely needed more dof, at least enough to pull the front petals into focus. The big drops and the in focus parts are great, but they don't quite carry the image out of the ho hum. I seem to be in the minority, though.cheeky

Scott, the transparencies of the back lit spring flowers are splendid for me. I love the photo, the selective focus, the BG, all. Splendid.

I like the composition ( just about perfect I would say ) and the depth, Scott, but am with Phil on the oof front petals and that leaf to the L which is partly oof.  Maybe a little lightening of the image would be good, too, even if the day was somewhat gloomy.
