Pacific Golden Plover, non-breeding colours
I liked the simplicity of this image, with nothing but plover, shadow, and sand

Hin Sandy
About as good a wader shot as they come. Maybe a tiny bit big in the frame but no big deal

Lovely, Sandy.  Perfect dof for the subject and angle of the shot.  You caught a very sweet pose.

I like the clarity of this one.  Very sharp where it needs to be focused.   The tonal gradient of the plover works well with the sand.  Perhaps a little too centered for my taste but I like it anyway.

Nice image of this youngster, Sandy, and well done considering the static pose that I often try as it's quite predictable.  The lifted leg is so typical of their cousins in my neighborhood.  I really like the direct angle for the shadow and complimentary color of the surroundings.

Sandy, I really like this. It's a great pose, there's beautiful detail in the bird offset by the simplicity of the sand, and the shadow is a great addition. I would agree with others about the bird maybe having a little more room in the frame and/or less centered, but I do like it as is.

Really nice light and a great pose for this Plover, Sandy. You really have excellent detail in the bird. If you have the room, I think a bit more room on the bottom and left may help the composition. A beautiful image as posted.
