Made this a couple of years back with 70 200 and extn tubes. Searched through the rain forest for species that came out at night and was raining quite heavy.

Shining my torch light on leaves and the wild Colocasia about a feet tall had some activity. There was this Wayanad Bush frog (
Pseudophilautus wynaadensis)

This once is the size of a dime bout 30 mm or so. The off camera flash threw light in all directions, and from under the leaf too.

One click and the frog was gone....
7D, 70 200 Extn tubes. The leaf and a thin stalk of the plant.

I understand the situation you were in when you found this frog.  Glad you did.  The big green curve really distracts from the subject.
Even if it made the frog tight in the frame I would have cropped it out.  On the other hand, you found the frog and got a good image of it and in a way everything else is secondary!  Hope that makes sense.  Did you get other shots of it?  Would like to see them if you did.  thanks for sharing and the story behind the photo.

The glowing greens in this view are great, Balan, I also like how even the frog looks translucent due to the off camera flash.  I'd try burning-in the oof stem so that it's brightness matches the frog and the perch as that may better balance the view.
