I have not heard of a Mistle Thrush before now. It looks a bit like what I know as a young Robin. I especially like the water drops on the tail and the ruffed feathers on the head and neck area.

Jim
Its a larger relative of the Song Thrush. Feeds a lot on berries etc in the winter. Sometimes Mistletoe- hence the name.

Very effective shot of a bathing thrush.  Seeing this bird reminds me of the three years I was stationed in England.  Thanks for the memories.

A sweet bathing pose you captured here John!

I really like the pond environment surrounding the bird. Excellent details!

This looks great, John.  It's always nice to see some unusual activity.  A new bird for me too!  devil

Beautiful image, John.
I like the head turn, and the droplets on the bird are also nice.
