Had a few days of on and off rain in the area (much appreciated here in the desert) sometimes with rain you get rainbows! Taken a couple of years ago

lovely capture of the rainbow and conditions. I can only think that moving to the right and framing only trees might improve the composition. HOwever I don't know the place.

Gerald, the autumn trees, red cliffs, reflection, rainbow and sky are all wonderful elements of this photo. If it were mine I would crop away maybe 1/3 of the water at the bottom. Very nice scene.

Jerry,

Another excellent scenic landscape.  Of course the rainbow is the icing on the cake, but I like the clouds, the symmetry of the reflection.

I do think there is a colder, steely-blue look to this - despite the warm elements like the trees and sandstone cliffs.  That's not a knock per se, just my observation.  Personally, the reflection is paramount to the overall scene.

My favorite images of the desert southwest are those that capture moments that challenge my ideas of what the desert is like.  This image definitely falls in that category.  My favorite element in this image is actually the low hanging clouds that hover in front of the cliff face and contrast beautifully with the dark blue in the sky.  That reflection is also sweet as is the fall color.  The rainbow of course adds to the scene, but I would like this even without it.
