Oklawaha River

A tributary of the St. Johns river in Florida that winds through mangrove swamps with all kinds of interesting side channels before it comes to a completely unnecessary dam.  I was enjoying reflections in the water and took a number of detail images, but finally decided to take some scenic shots.

5Diii, EF 28-70 f/2.8L @ 48 mm, hand held from Mike Ramy's boat, f/16, 1/125, iso 400, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  A bit of dodging in the darker areas and some adjustment of exposure and saturation, particularly in the sky.  Full frame.  Taken March 28th, 2016.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

A nice group of trees with great reflections, Dennis!  I like the cloudy sky, too.

Yeah, I remember this river, Dennis.  I like the hint of wake (lrc) and the lovely greens both in the trees and in their reflections.  This view does a fine job of capturing the inviting scenery and the quiet that's there during the week.
