A sunny winter's day in St Peter's Square, Manchester, outside the central library.   I'm fascinated by the way monumental architecture makes a stage on which people can seem like performers as they move inside, settle and chat under the columns or pass by on their way to wherever.

Well done, Ian! B/W makes the building almost monolithic.I agree with your observation re a stage set for the people doing whatever. B/W is very tricky and involves a different mind set than color. I think you have caught a bit of the vision here.

I really like the B&W rendition here Ian. Great light and shading and you are right about the performers in the columns.
