Autumn Mingle

Another comp from a similar vantage point as my previous post, a little more full lighting than the previous image.  It looked like a group of evergreen trees joining the party of maple and birch trees.  A busy scene for sure.  Hopefully sharpening issues have been resolved!

Nikon D810, 80-400 mm @ 400, ISO 320, f11, polarizing filter.

Another beauty, Harry. Processing looks good despite the considerable contrast. I like the scattered evergreens interspersed among the hardwoods, so much so that I'd be tempted to crop down to just above the topmost evergreen on the far left edge. Certainly fine as is, however.

Beautiful autumn color palette, Harry.  I like the way that the light brings out the rich autumn color.  I have some similar compositions from the Smokies last year, but they were in more diffused light.  Nicely done!

Another beauty, Harry.  Love the evergreens mingled in.  For some reason the top of the image loses a bit of the mingling effect and some saturation and contrast.  Maybe a gradient, pulled from the top edge to increase sat and contrast would pull the top quarter more in line with the rest of image. Real nice as is.

Harry,

Another terrific autumn image; love how you isolated and condensed the scene with the long focal length. I'm kinda thinking along the lines of Gary.  To me, the top half seems a little "hazy"  which I guess can be a result of the distance and using the longer lens.  But I think you made the best of it.  and yeah, sharpening better too! ;-)

I prefer the comp and overall presentation of your previous image. Although there's nothing to sneeze at here either!

Beautiful colors here, Harry.  A great mix of reds and yellows set off very nicely by the greens.  The triangles of the evergreens add well to the mix.

Equally nice as your prior post. Can't say I prefer one over the other. I find the richness of bottom 2/3rds of the image as the most compelling. To this end, I agree with the comments on playing with increasing the contrast/saturation in the top 1/3.
