Very interesting. From this angle the bird appears to have a large threatening face, but it is the pair of bald spots with light feather outline on the neck that gives the impression of eyes.

A rather intriguing bird.  At first glance it appears to have a large, menacing head.  I wonder if this confers some advantage to the vulture.  Nice shot with the wing spread and head turn.

Neat pose, Ken.  A great balancing act.

Very nice dramatic pose with excellent detail.  That's one mean looking bird.

This thumbnail is deceiving Ken, like others said it looks like big scary eyes and then you open the large image you see the bald spots. Nice comp and detail in the vulture.

I like the wing spread and the colors in the bird, and the "fake eyes" are very, very interesting.

Oops totally wrong ID on this one it is in fact a Cape Vulture, the most distinctive part of which is the bald patches on the neck " fakes eyes".
Which everybody other than me picked up, sorry about that!

The large version is must see, for sure. Certainly a menacing looking fellow.

This pose is perfect for showing off those bald spots and owlish looking face.
