I liked the water in this frame as much or more than the duck, but he does provide a focal point.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 388 mm, beanbag on car window, f/11, 1/1600, iso 1250, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 16.6 MP before resizing.  Taken January 6th at 10:22 AM.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Very clean image for iso 1250.  You're right; the water is really smooth and has very nice abstract features.  But I also like the duck.  The color and are done quite well.   This looks really good as a large detailed image.  I'm guessing this was at Ridgefield.

This is a beauty Dennis.  Great light and detail.  Love the water.

I like the water, but I like the duck more. :)  Beautiful colors and detail, and the colors in the water and the duck complement each other.

Very nice photo of the Ring-necked duck Dennis and you're right, the water looks great. The darker areas in the water compliment the ducks plumage well.
