Icebergs and Boat

While walking on a beach full of grounded icebergs, I saw this natural frame created by two icebergs. The falling snow and the blue of the ice added to the coldness/winteryness of the scene. Olympus E-M1 and 12-40 lens at 1/250, f/11 and ISO 2000.

Excellent shot! The boat is perfectly framed by the blue ice. I was thinking originally that the ice might be an iceberg you were shooting through, but not if you were using that short lens. The sleet adds a lot to the image.

This is really interesting. It would make a fabulous movie poster, book cover, etc. It almost looks like a composite image, but I think it's just the difference between color (iceberg) and near b/w (boat) as well as the distance between the two parts of the image. Really fun to look at and think about.
