Near South Point on Hawaii (a.k.a. Big Island) after sunset. Very pleasant. :)

Nikon D610, 18-35 AF-S, tripod, two frames blended to maintain exposure in the sky and smoothen the waves.

Hi Basil,

I like how the sky turned out and the irregular coastline provides an interesting contrasting pattern between rock and ocean water.  The color of the rocks on the rh side dray the eye into the comp.  This one reminds me of a long exposure shot using ND filters........................Jim

Basil: this is a very pleasant scene indeed which should be viewed large to be appreciated. I like the blue tones in the smoothed water and sky. The tonality and the detail in the rocks is very interesting. Excellent job on the blending. Richard

Oooooh, love the color of that water!!!  Excellent job on combining the two frames.  The water hitting those rocks is just mesmerizing.  I like the rocks in the FG, too, as they give a good base for the image.  Nice.
It's been over 25 years since I've been to Hawaii; this brings back memories of those gorgeous waters!!
