Hi Folks,
Here is another image from my visit in August to Sparks Lake.  Pictured here are the lake, S. Sister, Broken Top, and barely visible, a stand up paddle boarder.  Seems to be the new craze in Oregon, though I will share later a color version of a couple who just decided to sit down and take in the view.

As always, I'm interested in suggestions, feedback, and even declarations of exasperated boredom.

This is a very nice panorama at the black-and-white tones are very rich.

I like this one better than the one you posted in Landscape.  The pano crop works well with this.  I would consider lightening up the shadows in that dark bush/branch in the lower left corner.  Otherwise, I like the balance and comp of this.  It gives a feeling of wide open majesty, and the processing looks good.

I took one more stab at this image, trying to brighten the shadows and crop out some of the llc darkness. There is not much more I can do there, given the shadows of shoreline trees. I did shoot from a position further to the right and that might be better.  I also evened out the sky a bit.  I think the vignetting effect I'm getting in the sky here (and in the image in Landscape) is from using a yellow or orange filter for b/w conversion, which seems to accentuate the high elevation tone shift from dark blue at top to a hazier blue at bottom.  I'll keep tinker with that in the next conversion to come.
