While browsing through the archives I came across this image that I had not processed for some reason. If memory serves me correctly this was an evening that several cars honked their horn as they passed me by along the edge of the road. I just assumed that they were being sociable so I waved as they went by. After the sunset was over I started putting my camera away and turned around to find a deer; not more than four feet away; intently watching me. I can only guess that it had become habituated to people and was possibly looking for a morsel or was maybe intrigued by the tripod. Anyway, after watching me for a few more seconds the deer decided it was time to move on. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening with the sunset along with the encounter.
As always thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment or suggestion.

5 commentsSuch a lovely and peaceful sunset image. The sky is dynamic with the beams struggling to poke through the clouds. The emphasis on the sky takes some of the attention away from the layers of ridges, but of course come in to better view in the larger version. Even though some detail is present and another ridge because faintly visible in the larger view, I might be tempted to trim some off the bottom. And then, maybe, trim some off the top which may help emphasize the length of the ridges and enhance their showing a little more too. Just a thought.
Great story about the deer. I hope the deer wasn't considering head-butting you over the edge...
