This image was created with the help of the Cognisys Insect Rig. This amazing tool combines laser beam triggers, high-speed flash, and an electromagnetic shutter, making images like this possible.

Steve, 37 views and no comment, I do not understand! The 'high-tec.' has delivered a wonderful shot - the almost monotone and ghostly B/W is a very interesting and naturally artistic result.  Looking forward to seeing more!

Steve, this is a fine capture, and I appreciate your reference to the rig you used to get this image. Being unfamiliar with it, I googled it and read about it on the company's website. Amazing technology. Thanks for sharing both the image and the info on how it was captured.

It is indeed a special view, Steve, with the moth flying against the black background.  Thanks also for describing your rig as it allows capture of views that would be nearly impossible otherwise.

One possible issue with all the views and few comments is your lack of commenting on the posts of others.  I know that there are members who will not comment if a poster's comment to post ratio is much lower than the suggested 5:1.

Thanks for the insight Mark. Kind of new here, still figuring things out. It was actually recently called to my attention that I am supposed to leave at least five comments for every post. I missed that when I reviewed the posting guidelines.

Hi Steve,

I would tone down the blues slightly and pull down the highlight slightly behind the head.  Otherwise, a nice shot................Jim
