Visual Echo

These two young Cheetahs were kind enough to sit for a portrait. I like the way the two faces play off each other.

Steve, I like the double and the "echo," with one cat being a bit softer.

On my screen, it looks a bit faded and lacking contrast.  Not sure if this was the product of a dusty environment, or simply a lack of contrast reinforced in post.

I like that the one on the left is in focus and the "echo" is slightly out of focus. Very nice light and color also. Really sweet.

They look like they could be related....enlightened

Very clever composition.  I think it helps that the one is OOF.  Well done.

Steve,
I agree with Max that this needs a litle more contrast

Hello Steve ,... beautiful subjects here,... and captured well, showing off excellent detail on the one.  From my monitor, seems just-right ... !

cheers

Nice image Steve. The contrast on the large version looks okay on my monitor also. The smaller one looks a tad flatter, but that is most likely due to letting the site re-size your smaller image. It doesn't support all color spaces.

Hi Steve,

Nicely done...and with a very appropriate caption! I think you nailed the DoF almost perfectly to create the "echo" effect. I also noticed the lack of contrast and "pop" on the standard-sized version, but it's definitely better in the larger Detail View.

Cheers...

Fun image.  Normally I prefer images where all the subjects are in focus, but this one really works quite well.  Great light and detail.
